For enthusiasts of sailing, hang-gliding, kite flying, or for coastal dwellers, this anemometer measures wind speed and direction so you can assess if the conditions are right for your activity. The measuring range for wind speed goes up to 125 miles per hour and for wind direction is between 0 and 359 degrees. The unit also displays wind chill temperature between –99 degrees C to 70 degrees F. The accuracy rate of wind speed measurements is plus or minus 0.4 miles per hour and, in steady wind conditions, the anemometer transmits new data to the display once every minute. Powered by a solar transmitter, the anemometer also comes with two 1.5-volt batteries for backup power and offers 433 MHz wireless transmission up to 300 feet. This unit is compatible with other Oregon Scientific wireless weather station products and is covered by a 90-day warranty.

The Anemometer measures wind speed and direction. The anemometer wind speed operating range is up to 125 miles per hour and has a accuracy resolution of +/- (plus or minus) 0.4mph. In steady wind conditions the anemometer transmits new readings to the display unit once every minute. Wind direction operating range is 00 to 3590. Data transmission to the display unit occurs every 14-seconds. The anemometer is powered by a solar cell with battery backup. This unit only works with a compatible Oregon Scientific Weather Station which is not included and must be purchased separately.
